Fundraising is relevant for all not-for-profit activities and becomes increasingly important in times of crisis when budget cuts and financial restructuring are the new normal. Organisations are forced to rethink fundraising and not only consider strategies to find resources from government, private donors, or corporate enterprise. But smart fundraisers take it a step further and reflect on all aspects of the organization and how to make these marketable.
Alix Masson is Head of the Policy Development & Advocacy Department of the European Youth Forum since September 2012. Before this she served as the Director for External Relations and Funding for the World Organization Scout Movement for almost four years. In this capacity she managed to raise over a million euros for numerous projects. Trained in law and as a journalist, she currently specializes in civil society organisation’s management and policy and advocacy.
HOW AM I SELECTED?
A computer will randomly choose the participants from the paid members who have registered. A confirmation email will be sent out to each successful recipient and a waiting list will be created for the rest.
Out of respect towards our speakers we ask you to attend the full session of the workshop. If you have other commitments that evening and plan to leave the event earlier, we ask you kindly to sign up for another workshop, where you are able to commit 100 percent of your time.
Nb. To offer a fair chance to other members wishing to participate in this series, the 25 participants of this Tools of the Trade event will be ineligible for our next event in the series. While we can never guarantee everyone a place, please make sure that you are applying for a workshop you wish to attend.
WHAT IS TOOLS OF THE TRADE?
