The Tools of the Trade Workshop Series
YPFP Brussels aims to provide the next generation of foreign policy leaders with tangible knowledge and practical skills that will allow our members to excel in foreign policy professions. Excelling in foreign policy is not just about debating policy, it is also about having particular skills and knowledge. Each Tools of the Trade workshop or seminar will feature a speaker(s) sharing their personal experience and specific knowledge about how to be at the top in the foreign policy industry.

The second workshop in our series will be given by, Martin Porter is General Manager of Edelman | The Centre and was a co-founder of The Centre before it joined the Edelman network in 2010. He is closely involved and highly active in its consulting activities, where he specializes in strategic advice and high-level ‘public engagement’ support especially in areas related to the low carbon economy, sustainability and risk management issues.

He kindly agreed to give a workshop to YPFP members.

PLEASE NOTE: Spaces for this event are limited to 25 paying members. The RSVP list for this event will close at 5pm Saturday 24 November after being open for just two days.

A computer will randomly choose the participants from the paid members who have registered. A confirmation email will be sent out to each successful recipient and a waiting list will be created for the rest. If you cannot attend a workshop, please let us know in good time so that we can release your place for someone else.

Out of respect towards our speakers we ask you to attend the full session of the workshop. If you have other commitments that evening and plan to leave the event earlier, we ask you kindly to sign up for another workshop, where you are able to commit 100 percent of your time.

Nb. To offer a fair chance to other members wishing to participate in this series, the 25 participants of this Tools of the Trade event will be ineligible for our next event in the series. While we can never guarantee everyone a place, please make sure that you are applying for a workshop you wish to attend.

The Tools of the Trade series will be organized on a frequent basis. In the following months workshops on Public Speaking, Speech Writing and Mediation will be organized. In addition, YPFP Brussels plans to feature CEOs and Financial and Foreign Policy leaders as speakers for the series. Registration for these events will open nearer the tim
