YPFP Brussels: Tools of the Trade - “The Art of Speechwriting” with Jonathan Parish

What: Tools of the Trade series “The Art of Speechwriting” with Jonathan Parish
Jonathan Parish is Senior Policy Planning Officer and Speechwriter to the NATO Secretary General, following a long career in the British Army. He has kindly agreed to give a workshop to YPFP members on insights into the art of speechwriting, an important component in any leader's day-to-day life.
Jonathan Parish was commissioned into the British Army and trained as a helicopter pilot. His command tours at flight and squadron level were in Germany and at regimental level in the UK. During his regimental command, operational commitments included deployments to Bosnia (twice) and Kosovo.
He also trained at the Army Staff College, and his staff appointments included a tour as a Military Assistant at SHAPE, Belgium; Head of the concepts, doctrine, digitisation and operational requirements team at the British Army Headquarters Land Command; and Chief of operational support at the NATO Joint Headquarters in Madrid. His final tour in the Army was in the International Military Staff at Headquarters NATO, where he was responsible for the military aspects of NATO Enlargement and Combating Terrorism.

A computer will randomly choose the participants from the paid members who have registered. A confirmation email will be sent out to each successful recipient and a waiting list will be created for the rest.
