Please join YPFP Brussels on Thursday 13 December at the United States Mission to the European Union for a pre-Christmas fire-side chat with his Excellency William E Kennard. This will be an engaging discussion on EU-US relations, global diplomacy and insight for aspiring diplomats and foreign policy leaders of tomorrow.
Ambassador Kennard will be sharing his thoughts and engage with us in a lively discussion on EU-US relations and the art of global diplomacy. Additionally, he promised to offer advice on our future careers, building on his own experiences in both the private and public sector.
Ambassador Kennard has held his current position since November 2009, prior to which he was managing Director at the Carlyle Group, a global private equity firm. Before joining The Carlyle Group, Ambassador Kennard served as Chairman of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission from November 1997 to January 2001. Ambassador Kennard is a graduate of Stanford University and Yale Law School and YPFP Brussels is delighted to be able to present him as the December Speaker in our Ambassadors' series, kindly hosted by the US Mission.
