WHO: YPFP Members

Whether signing a new rent contract, haggling for a discount in the January sales or preparing for a major budget meeting at work, negotiation skills are a vital personal and professional skill.

But how should you go about preparing for a negotiation? What elements do you need to consider, how should you best divide your time and what traps await the unwary?

In this Tools of the Trade session, a YPFP Board member will outline some of the key elements to consider when preparing to negotiate. From considering your bargaining positions to understanding the routes to the added-value, this interactive workshop will show you the basics, and provide you with a framework to help plan your future negotiations.

Remember, we all negotiate every day! Come prepared with your own experiences and tips to share.

Please note:

A computer will randomly choose the participants from the paying members who have registered. A confirmation email will be sent out to each successful recipient and a waiting list will be created for the rest.

Out of respect towards our speakers we ask you to attend the full session of the workshop. If you have other commitments that evening and plan to leave the event earlier, we ask you kindly to sign up for another workshop, where you are able to commit 100 percent of your time.

Nb. To offer a fair chance to other members wishing to participate in this series, the 25 participants of this Tools of the Trade event will be ineligible for our next event in the series. While we can never guarantee everyone a place, please make sure that you are applying for a workshop you wish to attend.
