THIS EVENT IS NOW FULL. Thank you for your interest.

Advocacy consists of actions designed to draw a community’s attention to an issue and to direct policy-makers to a solution, while campaigning is the way to promote this advocacy strategy.

In this Tools of the Trade workshop, YPFP members will be invited to learn about the specifics of advocacy and campaigning, and increase their knowledge in these fields. Members will then have the opportunity to put into practice their newly acquired skills in an activity in which they will be able to build their own advocacy and campaigning strategies.

This event will be led by Mr. Daniel Mitov, Head of the National Democratic Institute. Prior to working with NDI Brussels, Daniel was Executive Director of “Democracy Foundation” – Sofia, and also held the position of Vice-President of Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB) – one of the parliamentary represented political parties belonging to the family of the European Peoples Party, from 2006 to 2010.  From November 2010 till July 2012, Daniel served as Program Manager in the NDI-Iraq Political Parties team. Since November 2012 he has been appointed NDI Resident Representative in Brussels.

The National Democratic Institute is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, nongovernmental organization working to support and strengthen democratic institutions worldwide through citizen participation, openness and accountability in government.

Please note:A computer will randomly choose the participants from the paying members who have registered. A confirmation email will be sent out to each successful recipient and a waiting list will be created for the rest.

Out of respect towards our speakers we ask you to attend the full session of the workshop. If you have other commitments that evening and plan to leave the event earlier, we ask you kindly to sign up for another workshop, where you are able to commit 100 percent of your time.

Nb. To offer a fair chance to other members wishing to participate in this series, the 25 participants of this Tools of the Trade event will be ineligible for our next event in the series. While we can never guarantee everyone a place, please make sure that you are applying for a workshop you wish to attend.
