Governments and NGO’s alike strive to find satisfactory and comprehensive solutions to development challenges. More and more attention is turned to the corporate sector, its potential to help filling some of the gaps, and its responsibility to do so in the regions where markets are expanding but the needs of the populations are still pressing. Is a new business model needed for big corporations to be able to grow sustainably and make profits while improving the quality of life of people in developing regions? How can the EU, national governments and NGOs foster partnerships with corporate businesses? What are the shining examples of such partnerships and how does the U.S. go about it?
- Dr Jennifer Adams, USAID Head of the Donors Engagement Office
- Roberto Ridolfi, Director, Sustainable Growth and Development, DG Development and Cooperation - EuropeAid.
- Ad Ooms, Relation Manager Institutional Donors - ICCO and Kerk in Actie and Chairman Taskforce Private Sector and Development Cooperation - CONCORD Europe.
The evening debate will end with a cocktail reception generously provided by the U.S. Mission to the EU.
