Internship Opportunities
EFD offers various internships throughout the year. Their duration is tailor-made to each candidate.
Main tasks and responsibilities
· Research on EU relations with countries of interests and in the fields of democracy and human rights
· Follow debates in the main EU institutions
· Prepare regular news reports and political analysis
· Assist in the coordination and organisation of events hosted by EFD
· Research on various issues, as needed
· Attend committee meetings of the European Parliament and plenary sessions, lunch briefings etc, on behalf of EFD
· Update the EFD website
· Assist in daily activities
Main requirements
The successful candidate should:
· hold a university degree or be at least in the 3rd or higher year of study, although preference will be given to graduate students
· be fluent in English and/or French. Other languages are an asset
· have sound knowledge on the EU system and institutions; be aware of the major international developments and have strong interest in global politics and international relations
· be a fervent believer in universal human rights, democratic principles and the respect of the rule of law
