EU Affairs Manager

Main tasks will include:

 Monitor EU funding sources and financial mechanisms key to THALES businesses and provide support to Thales entities in this respect

 Monitor EU transport policy (especially rail – and more precisely signalling activities), liaise internally and with UNIFE in this field

 Liaise with business units to better understand and promote their interests

 Help identifying a contact network within European Institutions (lobbying) and developing relevant contacts in Trade associations

 Provide monitoring, analysis, memos dealing with issues of interest for Thales (EU & NATO)

 Draft the Department's weekly newsletter (Bulletin) and contribute to the intranet website development and update

 Attend to and report on conferences, seminars, working groups etc. and support both internal and external events and meetings

Profil :
 Requested profile: knowledge of European institutions & their work procedures, business/economics

 Fluent in French and English

 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

 Excellent drafting and organizational skills

 Good IT skills

 Autonomy, flexibility and ability to take initiatives and work in a small team under pressure

 Internship at the European Commission / European Parliament or working experience in EU affairs considered as a plus
