Emily Foecke Munden is the International Development Fellow at Young Professionals in Foreign Policy (YPFP). Emily is a Research Assistant with the Center for Global Development, an international development policy think tank in Washington, DC. Prior to joining CGD, she worked in corporate global sourcing, led a maternal health nonprofit in Sierra Leone, and performed program design and implementation for irrigation and water sanitation projects in Kenya. Emily has previously supported and performed research on forest fire and crime in Indonesia, PEPFAR and state stability in sub-Saharan Africa, remote sensing image classification methods, and the 2014 Ebola virus outbreak. Emily holds a Master of International Affairs from the University of California-San Diego, and a BA in French and business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
