Dimitar Georgiev is the Vice President for Membership and Global Operations and previously the 2016 International Trade Fellow at Young Professionals in Foreign Policy. During the day, Dimitar is a global strategy and operations analyst at Crumpton Group LLC, with extensive experience supporting C-Suite executives. He specializes in emerging and frontier markets in the Middle East and Africa, global trade, and disruptive technologies.
Prior to joining Crumpton Group, Dimitar worked for Fortress Investment Group (NYSE:FIG), where he was an analyst with the firm’s private equity business and served in various operations, finance, and business development roles supporting portfolio companies’ management in the healthcare innovation space. Previously, Dimitar completed an assignment with the US Chamber of Commerce’s Middle East and North Africa team during the 2011 Arab Spring. He is the author of numerous articles and lectures that have appeared in American and international publications.
Dimitar speaks native Bulgarian, as well as German and French. He earned his MA in Security Studies from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and holds a BA with honors in History from St. Francis College.
