Members of Congress rarely discuss the implementation of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as part of their policy agenda, so the next generation of world leaders are starting the conversation.
In partnership with UNA-NCA division of the United Nations Association of the USA (UNA-USA), YPFP will address UN SDGs in a US context and the potential consequences and risks associated with the recent withdrawal of US from the Paris Climate Accords. NexGen leaders will hear from Representative Don Beyer (VA-08), the Vice Ranking Member of the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology about this important topic. A moderated conversation and Q&A, facilitated by Mr. George Ingram, will follow the speech.
When: Tuesday, August 8, 2017 from 4-6pm
Where: Rayburn House Office Building Room 2168 (Gold Room)
UNA-NCA is one of the largest divisions of the United Nations Association of the USA (UNA-USA) and a partner of the UN Foundation, with the goal to build public knowledge, strengthen UN-US relations, and aid the UN in achieving its goals.
YPFP is proud to partner with UNA-NCA and UNA-USA to promote this event. Members interested in attending should be sure to register separately using the above link.
