Ibrahim Leadership and Dialogue Project 2013
All program costs including airfare, accommodations, food, and training are covered by our partners at the Ibrahim Family Foundation.
All students from U.S. universities are encouraged to apply for this unique opportunity.
Applicants must meet the following requirements to be eligible for participation in the program:
- be U.S. citizens
- be over 18 years of age
- have complete their freshman, sophomore, or junior year by the time of the program (in special cases, seniors will be considered fro the program if they can demonstrate clear plans to continue their studies and benefit the academic community upon their return)
Successful applicants typically have:
- a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
- demonstrated strong leadership potential based on involvement in extracurricular activities and school organizations, or in internship and work experience..
How to Apply
Deadline: March 1, 2013
Students apply to the Ibrahim Leadership and Dialogue Project through a competitive online application process. In addition to providing basic background information, students must describe their reasons for applying to the program, explain why they are passionate about the Middle East specifically, and indicate why participation on this program is necessary to achieve their personal and professional goals.
A key factor taken into consideration by the selection panel is the Impact Plan. Students must describe how they would incorporate this experience into their academic and surrounding communities and explain how their Impact Plan will foster mutual understanding between people of different faiths and cultures.
