Elizabeth J.C. Cutler is the Director, Human Capital for YPFP. In this role, she oversees the department responsible for volunteer recruitment, onboarding new staff, and staff development. With a special interest in organizational development, Cutler seeks creative approaches to team building that benefits staff in their day jobs as well as their YPFP roles.
Cutler works for DAI as a Project Associate in the Asia department where she supports USAID-funded development projects in Thailand, Uzbekistan, and the Philippines. Previously, she was a recruiter for the Afghanistan portfolio at DAI, during which time she spent 3 weeks in northern Afghanistan training local staff. Before joining DAI, Cutler held internships at the Stimson Center and in the Washington, DC offices of Senator Bob Casey (PA) and former Congressman Joe Sestak (PA-07).
She received her MA in Democracy and Governance from Georgetown University and her BA in Politics from Occidental College. Outside of her day job and YPFP, Cutler is an avid reader and writer as well as an active member of the DC comedy scene through improv classes that she takes at the Washington Improv Theater.
