Combating Terrorism Debate

APPLY NOW to participate in YPFP's Pilot Debate on intervention to combat terrorism.

Two teams of four will debate for a total of 40 minutes upon the topic.

At the conclusion of the 40 minutes, the moderator, Chair of the Combating Terrorism Discussion Group Ryan Young, will then lead the audience and participants in an open discussion to speak on the finer points of the topic of intervention. Any background and experience is welcome to apply. Further details below:

Topic: Intervention 

Should a state unilaterally act against terrorists by breaching the sovereignty of nations that are perceived to be unable or unwilling to do so? 

Team 1 will argue on behalf of intervention, Team 2 will be opposed to intervention.
