Brittney Lenard is a first year student at Georgetown University’s Master of Science in Foreign Service, where she is pursuing a concentration in Global Politics and Security.
She previously spent two years at McLarty Associates, an international strategic advisory firm in Washington, DC, supporting the firm’s work in Europe and Eurasia. Brittney has spent time in Russia, first in Kazan as a recipient of the U.S. Department of State Critical Language Scholarship in 2010 and in Moscow in 2011, where she interned with the Carnegie Moscow Center. From 2011 to 2012, Brittney supported the U.S. Embassy in Moscow with open-source research, through the U.S. Department of State’s Virtual Student Foreign Service Program.
Brittney holds a B.A. from Pomona College in Russian and Eastern European Studies, with a focus on Russian politics. Brittney speaks Russian, French, Spanish, and basic German.
