Everyday Ambassador is a best-practice network of global citizens and organizations that believe that human connection, even in an increasingly digital world, is the key to lasting, positive social change. At the core of this best-practice network is the belief that Millennials, more than ever, have the means to impact their own local communities and those abroad in a digitally connected world. Everyday Ambassador's mission is to create a cultural shift in the world of travel and volunteerism/service, so that good intentions are always translated into respectful social change efforts.

Founder and executive director, Kate Otto will present her book Everyday Ambassador: Make a Difference by Connecting in a Disconnected World, published in May 2015. The book will be a resource for individuals and organizations who believe in the Everyday Ambassador mission, and it features the work of many everyday ambassadors already prominent in our network.

The event will feature a panel of experts in the field that will discuss questions pertaining to global citizenship as well as social change. Copies of the book will be available for signing by the author. Afterwards join YPFP and Everyday Ambassador for a nearby reception at Elephant and Castle.

This book event is open to the public, however the discussion preceding the book event (see below) will be only open to YPFP members.

Preceding the book event from 5:45 to 6:15, Kate Otto, the founder and director of Everyday Ambassador, will be having an open discussion with YPFP members about her experience launching Everyday Ambassador. For members looking to launch their own startups, build social movements, or hope to publish their own books one day this will be an excellent chance to learn about the work that goes into such a career from someone who has recently gone through the process.

See below for Kate’s bio and her recent TEDx Talk
