Young Professionals in Foreign Policy (YPFP) Brussels invites you to join us for an evening discussion with Ireland’s Permanent Representative (Head of Mission) to the EU, H.E. Declan Kelleher. We will hear his perspectives on the implications for Ireland if the UK were to leave the EU, and on Ireland’s evolving relationship with the EU and its institutions. The evening will begin with a reception at 6.30pm, with Ambassador Kelleher's talk starting at 7.30.
Ambassador Kelleher took up this post in Brussels in 2013, moving here from Beijing where he was Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China and to Mongolia. Before that, he had served as Ambassador of Ireland to the EU Political and Security Committee in Brussels, and as Deputy Political Director for International Security Policy in the Department of Foreign Affairs in Dublin.
