YPFP Brussels invites you to join us for an evening discussion with Australian Ambassador Dr Mark Higgie. Mark will offer his perspectives on the EU and NATO and on Australia’s evolving relationships with these institutions.
Ambassador Higgie took up his post in Brussels in September 2014 and previously was former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott’s International Advisor. He earlier served at the Office of National Assessments (ONA) as Senior Europe Analyst and later as Australia's representative on the UK Joint Intelligence Committee. Between 1998 - 2001, Mark was Australia's Ambassador to Hungary. He earlier served in Belgrade and Vienna.

Set up in early 2011, this is the flagship programme of YPFP Brussels and offers young and aspiring professionals in foreign policy the chance to engage first-hand with top diplomats in Brussels. Presentations and discussions are conducted according to Chatham House rule.
