Commission President Juncker has made a commitment to no further EU enlargement during his five year mandate. What will happen to recent candidate countries like Serbia? Will they pursue their European dream, or seek ties with other partners? Will Serbia remain neutral or share the EU foreign and security policies in regard to the Ukrainian crisis despite enlargement dragging?
S.E. M. Dusko Lopandic, Serbian Ambassador to the EU will share his thoughts on this and other issues with YPFP members. Ambassador Lopandic, has served at the mission since 2013. His Excellency Lopandic will discuss the explore Serbian’s political and economic ties with the European Union and its regional role.
Moreover, H.E Ambassador Lopandic will share his thoughts on Belgrade-Pristina relations and the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue. Ambassador Lopandic will also give advice to young professionals who want to pursue a foreign policy career based on his vast expertise in this field.
Set up in early 2011, YPFP Brussels' Ambassador Series offers young and aspiring foreign policy professionals the chance to engage first-hand with high-level experts working in international diplomacy. Some of our previous speakers include the US, Australian, British, Finnish, and Indian Ambassadors to the EU.
After the discussion the Serbian Mission will generously provide a reception for YPFP members.
