Alexandra Stark is the 2018 Security & Defense Fellow at Young Professionals in Foreign Policy. She is a PhD Candidate in International Relations at Georgetown University. Her dissertation research analyzes the conditions under which countries in the MENA region are likely to intervene in civil wars. She has worked previously as a Summer Associate at the RAND Corporation, an Associate with the firm Climate Advisers, and a lobbyist on U.S. foreign policy with the non-profit organization the Friends Committee on National Legislation, where she currently serves on the Executive Committee. She also holds a MSc from the London School of Economics and a BA from Wellesley College, where she was a fellow of the Albright Institute for Global Affairs.
