Alex Penler is Vice President of Communications at YPFP. She previously served as Director of Social Media overseeing 20 YPFP social media channels with a reach of over 200,000 in 170 countries. Alex has been a member of YPFP since 2015.
Alex works as a communications officer for the Fulbright Foreign Student Program at AMIDEAST, managing the strategy and operations of the Fulbright program in the Middle East and North Africa. Previously she worked for Unicef UK and on a USAID project, AIDSFree, at John Snow, Inc.
Originally from Washington, DC and Cleveland, OH, she obtained a BA in Political Science and History from Saint Mary's-Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, where she studied in Rome and at American University. She received a Master's of Science with Distinction from the London School of Economics in Colonialism and Globalization (History of International Relations). In her free time, Alex enjoys traveling, cooking/baking, and writing novels.
