Tamar Abraham
Tamar Abraham is Deputy Director of Programming for YPFP New York. Tamar currently works at the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, the coordinating body on issues of national and international concerns for 52 national Jewish agencies. She began her career in public service as an aide to an elected official and worked on a few political campaigns in New York and continues her involvement in the domestic arena by serving as a board member on her local community board. Tamar graduated from Barnard College with a B.A. in Political Science. Among her professional interests: defense policy; the relationship between national security decision-making, public opinion and civil-military relations; international politics of the Middle East; government 2.0 and public diplomacy. Tamar is fluent in Hebrew and has extensively studied both Arabic and Russian. When not debating foreign policy, Tamar is a calligrapher and artist specializing in paper-cut designs.
