Kate Richard

 Kate Richard is with MSD Capital, which has $9 billion in assets under management and is Michael Dell's private investment fund. She and a partner oversee MSD's energy investments in public and private debt and equity of exploration & production, oil field service and emerging energy technology companies.  Prior to being with MSD Capital, Ms. Richard oversaw public and private investments in energy, metals / mining and water at Serengeti Asset Management, a Goldman spin-off hedge fund with $1.5 billion in asset under management.  From 2004 through 2007 Ms. Richard was with Goldman Sachs, first in the Real Estate Private Investment Group (the Whitehall Funds) in Dallas and Paris and then in Natural Resources Investment Banking  in New York. Ms. Richard graduated from Harvard in 2004 with a degree in History and a focus on post-colonial theory.  She is a native of Oklahoma.
