The Executive Assistant (EA) to the Metis Solutions CEO will be expected to fulfill a variety of duties that change from day-to-day. The EA will work for an exacting CEO and will be expected to have a professional, friendly manner on the phone and in person. A sense of humor, flexibility and humility are valued as well.
The EA will schedule meetings/calls/conferences/speeches/travel and make travel reservations for a very busy, continuously on-the-go CEO. All preparations for these events will be the responsibility of the EA. Such preparations could include speech outlines and talking points, subject research, analytic overviews, refreshments for meetings, booking conference rooms, keeping other participants informed, and creating travel binders that include not only flight/hotel reservations, but also an agenda, biographies, reading materials, meeting materials, etc. The CEO will occasionally ask her EA to research topics and draft opinion/editorial pieces for eventual publishing. Occasionally, the EA will be required to pitch in and assist Ms. Long personally as each of her growing businesses are small and demanding.
The EA must be responsible, well organized, efficient, responsive, and able to multi-task. The EA must have a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of work experience, one of which should be as an EA.
