Work with ISSO and other IT staff to design, evolve, and implement an IT Security Architecture covering all aspects including infrastructure, endpoints, and applications. Work directly with internal IT staff, management, and developers to establish and enforce IT security best practices, protection objectives, process improvements and effective security controls. Manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, firewall rules, windows security settings, and endpoint security.
Familiarity with NIST Risk Management Framework, NIST Special Publication 800 series, Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS), FISMA and other relevant standards.
Familiarity with security tools including Tenable, Nessus, Snare, Arcsight, Syslog and other Security (SIEM) management tools.
At least five years of hands-on experience working with and securing Windows based environments including Active Directory, Windows Server, Windows firewall, Group Policy, IIS, Windows security settings. Must also have hands-on experience working with network security technologies including Cisco ASA Firewalls, NAT, VPN, IPSec, SSL, access lists, NAC, IDS/IP.
Desired Qualifications: Experience implementing and securing cloud and hybrid-cloud networks a plus. Experience in NIH/HHS environment a plus
Required Education: B.S. in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field of study.
