But many young professionals lack the knowledge and skills to understand and apply cybersecurity solutions whether in support of companies, governments, or our own data. Let YPFP equip you with the knowledge, skills, exposure and relationships to understand cybersecurity in a way that will be essential as you continue on your journey to becoming the foreign policy leaders of the future!
Beginning the week of October 20, 2014, participate in an eight-week series of intense and immersive events designed to allow participants to:
· Interact, learn, and connect with industry leaders and policymakers in this emerging field
· Learn the fundamentals of networks and attempts to both penetrate and defend them
· Gain an understanding of major cyber threats, emerging global cyber norms, US institutions involved in cybersecurity
· Gain exposure to innovative companies and representatives on the cutting edge of cybersecurity

November 3 - Advanced Persistent Threats: the Case of China: What are some Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs) the U.S. and other cyber powers should watch?
November 10 - Examining Trends in Cybersecurity: Merging Network & Defense Analysis: What does a cyber-attack look like? Techniques and systems.
November 17 - Basics of Computer Network Defense & Analysis: How can we protect systems and prevent attacks? What does successful analysis look like?
November 24 - New Technologies Demo Session: Explore some of the most cutting edge cyber defense technologies and analytics platforms from the companies pioneering them.
December 1 - The Implications of Cyber: Where are we headed?
December 8 - Capstone Network Attack Simulation
