Job Description
The Training Coordinator Intern (TCI) will assist the Learning and Development Manager and the HR Director, Learning and Development in a variety of learning initiatives. She/he would support the creation and management of the monthly training calendar.  She/he will be involved in the administration of the company’s new learning management system, scheduling and tracking instructor-led and web-based training in the Learning Management System (LMS), developing and running reports, and LMS support to individual learners.  She/he will also assist the Training Manager in the implementation of corporate learning metrics, the development of learning guides, and instructor-led PowerPoint presentations, among other responsibilities.
The intern will be expected to work 20-30 hours per week from the office.  The duration of the internship will be from early October until the end of January 2016.

Job Responsibilities

  • Schedule classes (instructor-led and web-based training), manage enrollments and run reports in the LMS.

  • Trouble shoot LMS user issues.

  • Run reports from SurveyMonkey for instructor-led training surveys and assist with metric analysis.

  • Draft communications to promote scheduled instructor-led learning programs.

  • Develop quick reference guides, PowerPoint presentations, and web-based learning solutions as needed.

  • Assist with production and maintenance of course materials.

  • Attend analysis, design and development consultative meetings as needed.

  • Support other learning and development initiatives as needed, including the performance management system.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to work as part of a decentralized team

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Fluency in English

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft PowerPoint

  • Interest in or proficiency in Learning Management Systems and web-based training authoring tools (preferred)

  • College student currently working towards a degree in the Learning or Human Resources field, Learning Technologies preferred
