16OCT - European Parliament Climate Campaigner - Sandbag - Deadline: 21OCT

Organization Description

We are seeking a new member of our advocacy team to help promote our data-driven climate policy to policymakers in Brussels and Strasbourg.

The role will require a broad understanding of European climate and energy policy and will involve regular contact with politicians, civil servants and other Brussels based stakeholder organisations. It will also be necessary to have, or to quickly acquire, an understanding of the policy making process in Europe.

As the day-to-day face of Sandbag in one our most important constituencies, the team member will need to be a strong ambassador for the organisation, not just in their grasp of policy and politics, but in building and maintaining strong relationships with a wide array of different stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have some previous experience of working in advocacy, or in politics, though we are able to train up someone who is the ‘right fit’ for our organisation.
