Job Description

Conducting terror investigations requires a broad range of general and specialized skills. Our Analysts include subject matter experts in a broad array of fields, including international relations, history, law, and public policy. Others are technical experts, skilled in engineering and specific technologies, such as explosives. Yet others possess expert knowledge focused on particular countries, religions, and languages, offering nuanced understandings of the intersection of ideology, history, and culture.

Job Responsibilities

By joining our team in this civilian opportunity, you will complement the NYPD’s counter-terrorism efforts, providing the additional vision and resources needed to combat threats beyond those posed by traditional crime. You will be able to work at an investigative level on cases, using your unique skills to help detect and deter terrorist activity. You will have the opportunity to engage in inter-governmental policy issues. And ultimately, you will make a real difference in protecting New York City.
